MESSAGE FROM SITE OWNER (this is a fan-run site, not an official Chris Cain site): I never wanted to do this, but my hosting account is getting full and it's going to start costing me more to run this site. Costs include monthly hosting as well as software security updates. Also, this site runs on commercial software, not open source, so there is cost associated with that, too). So, I'm putting a donate button here. If you enjoy the site, and want to contribute, it is greatly appreciate, but by no means required. Just reduces my expenses a bit in these tough times. I invited him to play in my city ... and he was just incredible!!! He had his own show first day festival , and the last day he hosted a jam session with Billy Branch, Phil Guy and others musicians ... was an amazing experience! And he was a great person ... very very friendly ... really great times! It was a nice surprise to come upon your e-mail as I saw you play at the Chicago ‘06 Blues Festival. You were pretty good yourself!! It was a treat to see someone from outside the U.S. enjoying and playing the blues. Thank you for making that long haul and I hope you had a good time as well! I just got home from a vacation around Europe, including Italy, and thought of trying to find you playing in a club, but never got to it….busy buying leather, gazing a naked statues and eating pizza. Any suggestions on where to go for blues in any part of Italy? I’ll keep your suggestions for a future visit. Caio, Sheila

Im so tired, but was great. Here some places where you can find good blues in Italy, and also where I played with Nellie and I will tour more with Sax Gordon: Club Name - Location Al Vapore - Marghera (Venezia) Naima Club - Forl� Velvet Underground - Castiglion Fiorentino (Arezzo) La Cabina - L’Aquila Sonix Music Hall - Imola (Bologna) Hope you will have fun next time you’ll be in Italy, and hope you’ll be able to listen to good blues! She was sitting in the audience while her husband (I assume) played with an absolutely amazing band. The bass player in particular was phenomenal. Even better, Nellie and a girlfriend of hers that came to Chicago to study with Nellie sang from time to time from there seats….wow it was somithing else! Down home blues at its best! Guess I have reason to visit Italy again. Thank you for the input. Sheila (you can put a name to my face if you look in the “chris cain in person”/“chris live” sections)

Ill be in the states more in February probably, if you’ll be in Chicago we can meet somewhere, maybe for a Chris show would be great. Im going to finish my website, and Ill post there all my pictures with Chris and news about Chris. I saw Chris perform a couple of nights ago here at his home…..yeah that’s right he’s ours and we have him back for the time being! : ) He recently got back from a long tour on the east coast so it was great to see him home again with all of the old and new faces in the crowd smiling and dancing to his tunes. What a treat to see such talent!! You’ll have to let me know when you travel this way (CA San Francisco Bay Area) or if you go to Chicago again. It would be fun to enjoy some blues together. What a kick if was to see Chris! Even so, we have lots of good talent in this area and Chicago is never a problem. Let me know when you get your site up and running.
